West Chester Elementary News

By: Emily Brown

Congratulations to the following boys and girls for having rockin’ behavior last week: Spencer Hendren, Aiden Maccarino, Sara Creekmore, T.J. Robbins, Macie Sellers, Sam Burlison, Jaelyn Harris, Sean Bailey, Taeghan Hensley, Clara Shull, Madi Holder, Lacey Counce, Harmony Arment, Paige Barnett, Logan Hopkins, and Gracelyn Galloway.  A big shout out to these classrooms for being awarded rockin’ cafeteria behavior last week: Miss Rebecca Reddinger’s kindergarten class, Ms. Lisa Scott’s first grade class, Mrs. Kelly Crowe’s second grade class, and Mrs. Denise Davidson’s third grade class!  Way to go girls and boys! Please add Mrs. Crystal Rowsey, her unborn son, and their family to your prayer list. She is currently in the hospital. We love you, Mrs. Crystal!

Our PTO spring fundraiser has ended and was a huge success! The kids absolutely LOVED getting their lanyards and forest friends prizes. We almost doubled our goal; therefore, the kids will be rewarded soon with a magic show.  Thank you to the following people/businesses for their recent donations for our outside courtyard area: Clay and Candi Cupples, April Collins, Four Seasons Nursery, Henderson-Chester Farmers Co.Co-Op, Custom Plasma Design (Brad and Connie Garner).  We plan to continue to make improvements to the area so that it is a nice place for our students and employees to enjoy.

Parents please remember that if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding school matters, you may contact the school by calling the school office, emailing your child’s teacher, or by sending a note with your child.  Also, please check folders and return them each day so that you are always informed. Watch for notes to come about our Read To Be Ready program. We are SO excited about receiving this grant so that we can invite children to be a part of this wonderful summer reading program!  Remember...Everyday at West is “rocking” because our faculty, staff, and students strive to be Respectful, Orderly, Cooperative, and Kind!

Mark you calendars for these coming dates: (More information will come home soon!)
