Dear Parents and Guardians,

Recently a new law was passed that school districts must identify characteristics of dyslexia through their existing RTI2 universal screening process and provide appropriate “dyslexia-specific interventions” for students identified with these characteristics. We want you to be aware that if your child is currently receiving intervention through RTI2 that a letter may come home with your child. This does not mean that your child has dyslexia, but he/she may have one or more characteristic of dyslexia.

If you have questions after receiving the letter, please contact your school office and ask to speak to the RTI2 Coordinator.
