We are off to a fantastic start! I wanted to touch base with all of you as we enter the second month of school for the 17-18 school year.

• School hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Learning will begin promptly at 8:00. Breakfast is free to ALL students and will begin at 7:20 and end at 7:45. Take advantage of this opportunity.

• Car riders will need to enter through the FRONT door. Other doors will be locked. The front door unlocks at 7:00 and locks at 8:00. Any student not in his/her classroom by 8:00 will be considered tardy.

• In order to keep all students safe, visitors must sign in and out in the front office.

• We are really focusing on school attendance. Our overall attendance for August was over 97%. That is great! As of today, Ms. Misty’s class has the best attendance thus far. No students have missed a day in the last two weeks! Her class received popsicles today as a treat. Ms. Amanda’s class has only had 6 absences thus far and Ms. Janice’s class has had 7. Way to go!!

• Take a look at the school’s website to find pictures of the August students of month. We are very proud of these students. We look forward to our next celebration to honor September’s students of the month. Encourage your child to keep working hard.

• Ms. Emily also rewards students weekly that have had “Rocking” Behavior. We look for students who are Respectful, Orderly, Cooperative, and Kind.

• Please put your child’s name on backpacks and jackets.

• Our doors are open. Feel free to contact us with concerns or ideas. 989-8150
