West Chester is a Title I school. What is Title I? Title I is the largest federally funded educational program.  To qualify, schools must have a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students.  Title I funds are used to improve student achievement of all participating children, to improve staff development as well as community/parental involvement.  West Chester's Title I funds are used to benefit all students regardless of income. The funds are also used to support teachers with assistants, provide interventionists for small groups, fund RTI, and to purchase instructional materials and technology.
